About Me
I qualified as a doctor in 1993 and completed my GP training in 2000, giving me over thirty years in the NHS.
During that time, I supported patients and families through illness, ageing, uncertainty, and loss. I also watched colleagues, carers, and professionals do the same, often while quietly pushing their own needs to the side.
What stayed with me was not just the clinical complexity, but the emotional reality underneath it all that too many of us ignore. The conversations that never quite happened and the responsibility people absorbed without question. The way capable, conscientious people kept going long after it stopped being sustainable.
Why I Do This Work
In healthcare, families, charities, and workplaces, we are good at dealing with tasks and crises. We know how to act, organise, and problem-solve. However, we rarely make space for the emotional reality underneath it all that too many of us ignore.
Ageing parents, illness, difficult decisions, and unspoken family tension grow alongside the slow grind of responsibility that never quite lets up. These pressures build quietly, often without acknowledgement, shaping how people think, feel, and relate to one another.
When that emotional side is ignored, people do not suddenly fall apart. They slowly disappear from themselves. They become exhausted, anxious, short-tempered, or numb. Without noticing, communication breaks down, while relationships suffer. Finally good people burn out or withdraw.
I saw this pattern repeatedly during my years as a GP, and I continue to see it now. Good, responsible people doing what needs to be done, with very little space to speak honestly about how hard it actually is.
I created The Caregiving Journey CIC to address that gap. This work exists to create space for reflection, conversation, and support before coping turns into collapse.
How I Work
My work sits apart from therapy, advice-giving, or motivational coaching; I do not tell people what they should do or try to fix them, but offer structured, thoughtful space to slow things down, make sense of what is happening, and decide what comes next.
My approach is grounded, practical, and deeply human. I bring together my clinical background as a GP with coaching training and real-world experience. The focus is on communication, emotional awareness, boundaries, and decision-making in the context of real lives, real families, and real constraints.
People often tell me that this is the first place they have been able to speak honestly without feeling judged, rushed, or expected to have answers.

A Final Word
You do not have to be at breaking point to ask for support.
Most people I work with are capable, responsible, and used to coping. They come because doing everything alone is no longer working, and they want a different way to think, talk, and move forward.
If this resonates, you can explore the different ways we might work together elsewhere on the site.
Or we can simply talk. A short conversation is often the easiest place to start.
If you are contacting on behalf of an organisation, a business, or a voluntary sector group, get in touch to talk about what would work. Email hello@elizabethrozario.co.uk directly, or use the link below.
Having Elizabeth as a coach for the past 10 months has been a transformative experience. Being fiercely independent, I was initially apprehensive about coaching, but Elizabeth showed me how the process was less about external influence, and more about understanding myself, my values and my goals more clearly and deeply. With the right amount of pressure from honest questions, encouragement, and provision of both structured and free flow opportunities to reflect, I feel I have been able to move forward more boldly in an otherwise uncertain period of life. Thank you once again for your support.’

I worked with Elizabeth from January 2023 – June 2023. It was at time when I had many demands on my time, work and caring responsibilities. Working with Elizabeth helped me develop insight into my work ethics and my attitude to caring responsibilities, integrating self care and aspirations into a busy schedule – work life balance.
The mentoring time taught me self responsibility, reflecting on what I could change to achieve balance. Working with Elizabeth has been transformational, she helped me realise and develop my inner resilience and how to use this going forward.
I would strongly recommend life coaching with Elizabeth’
